Karen Colclough (37) was a beloved resident of Wilson, Wyoming who worked as a Community Entry Services employee and a ski patroller at Snow King, Jackson. On April 11, while on a mission trip to Nicaragua organized by the local Presbyterian Church, she went missing. After three days of searching, her body was discovered. In response, U.S. Representative Cynthia M. Lummis issued the following statement:
"Nothing can be said to ease the pain of a tragedy like this. My prayers are with Karen, her family, friends, and neighbors. Some of Karen's friends have already contacted me explaining how caring, loving, and generous she was; the mission of mercy and faith she was on speaks to that selflessness. This all makes me confident that she is now at peace in heaven but I will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and help in any way I can."
