Governor Mike Pence, First Lady Karen Pence and state officials will travel to Germany on Saturday on an economic development mission to bring jobs and investment to Indiana.
"As the third largest foreign source of Hoosier jobs, Germany plays a pivotal role in our Hoosier economy," said Pence. "When it comes to the passion, dedication and work ethic of the Hoosier workforce, it is easy to see why the world continues to select Indiana as the home of its foreign direct investment. I'm looking forward to advocating on behalf of the 12,500 Hoosiers currently employed by German companies and the thousands more whose future jobs they may create. Indiana's story is one of a state that works, and I look forward to sharing it directly with German business executives and decision makers."
This will be Pence's second international job-hunting trip as Governor. The cost of the state delegation is being covered through private donations to the Indiana Economic Development Foundation.
