Issue Position

Rich in renewable and natural resources, Montana is poised to be a world leader in responsible energy development. I strongly support an energy future that harnesses all of our emerging resources including wind, solar, geothermal and biomass. I support an energy policy that responsibly develops our traditional energy resources as well, including oil, natural gas, coal, and hydro, and we must always do so with an eye toward the future. For me, focusing on energy security is a matter of national and economic security. And I look forward to supporting policies that achieve this goal while creating Montana jobs in the process.
