Today, Governor Susana Martinez signed legislation creating a one-stop online portal for New Mexico businesses. This legislation, Senate Bill 9, provides for the development of a website that will allow businesses to streamline their transactions with the state.
"Creating this new online portal will make it easier for business owners and entrepreneurs to start and maintain their businesses," said Governor Martinez. "Easing the burden on small businesses is a key part of our continuing efforts to diversify our economy, compete for jobs, attract new companies, and help small businesses grow."
Senate Bill 9, sponsored by Senator Mary Kay Papen (D-Las Cruces), unanimously passed both the New Mexico Senate and House of Representatives.
