Hahn Statement on President Obama's Fiscal Year 2015 Budget

Today, Congresswoman Janice Hahn (CA-44) released the following statement regarding President Obama's Fiscal Year 2015 Budget:

"Today President Obama outlined a fiscal budget for our nation that will help spur economic growth and expand opportunities for America's working families. His budget provides a roadmap that cuts taxes for middle-class families, closes unfair tax loopholes for big corporations and the wealthy, makes critical investments in our nation's infrastructure, and reduces the deficit by 1.6 percent by 2024. The proposed $300 billion investment in our infrastructure will infuse our local economy with good paying jobs, while improving our ports, roads, bridges and transit systems. Under this budget proposal, hardworking federal workers will receive the long overdue raise they deserve, students will get a fair chance to a quality education and workers will receive an earned income tax credit that will put money back in their pockets and into the economy. These types of common sense initiatives aim to help hard working families in my community already struggling to afford child care, send their kids to college, and save for retirement. I support the President's budget proposal and plan to join my colleagues to pass this budget that creates jobs and economic opportunities for the families, workers and students I serve in California."
