Congressman Lynch supported the removal of U.S. military forces from Iraq, which was completed at the end of 2011.

The Congressman believes that there is still a role for the U.S. to play as a partner in assisting with Iraq's continued development. From his position on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Congressman Lynch will continue to actively participate in the Committee's ongoing investigation and oversight of our reconstruction efforts in Iraq. The United States has invested billions of dollars in Iraq and we must ensure that such funding is used in a way that is transparent and effective.
