"There is no place in Riverdale, or anywhere, for these offensive symbols of a hateful and lethal ideology that shamed the world. I don't know what kind of demented individual or individuals would do such a thing. It is reassuring that the Police Department has referred this to the Hate Crimes unit. I ask anyone who may have seen something to call the police immediately with all information. This abominable behavior can not be tolerated and those responsible must be made to account for their actions."
