Today, Representative Tim Walz (D-MN) released the following statement after President Obama announced new measures to increase the balance between national security and personal privacy.

"Today's announcement from President Obama is a step forward as our nation seeks to preserve our constitutional right to personal privacy while balancing national security needs. Finding this balance is not easy and I stand ready to work with the President, my colleagues in Congress, and concerned citizens in southern Minnesota as we move forward on this important work."
