WASHINGTON D.C. -- Today, Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) released the following statement on the announcement that 36,250 Tennesseans have signed up for Obamacare:

"The fact that only 36,250 Tennesseans chose to enroll in the president's health care law--only one-third of those eligible--proves that folks in Tennessee do not want this law," said Roe. "Some reports estimate that roughly 60,000 Tennesseans lost their health insurance because of Obamacare, so we're seeing more people lose their coverage under this law than we're seeing get insured. Next year, when President Obama's temporary fixes expire, I fear we're going to see even more Tennesseans lose health insurance. This in unacceptable, and the president and his administration owe it to the American people to admit this deeply flawed law is unworkable."
