U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (FL-15) questioned Treasury Secretary Jack Lew in the House Financial Services Committee hearing today. Below is his statement on the hearing:
"The state of Florida already has a vigorous proven insurance regulatory framework. Today, I was able to discuss with Secretary Lew the necessity of appropriately structuring federal regulations to ensure that additional compliance costs do not result in higher premiums. Policyholders in Florida are already burdened by insurance costs. The full effects of Obamacare will only add to this burden on Floridians. We need to eliminate unnecessary government intrusion in our lives."
