Illinois definitely has a spending problem….as evidenced by the pension issue, growing state debt and billions of dollars in unpaid bills. We are not living within our means. Kirk Dillard will lead by reducing spending, creating huge savings in the pension system, reducing Medicaid fraud and mismanagement and creating efficiencies. Nothing is off the table! The budget needs to be scrutinized line by line, justifying any new program. Over time, state finances will be balanced without a massive amount of debt. Dillard will propose a constitutional amendment to require a balanced budget -- unless legislators want their paychecks withheld. A healthy budget can only be achieved with a healthy economy that produces jobs and state revenue.
