House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee member Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) today released the following statement in response to the Administration's announced federal health care exchange enrollment data for the month of October:
"The ObamaCare enrollment numbers released today are disappointing and further proof that the law is unworkable.
"The total represents about one-fifth of the Administration's goal for the exchanges' first month. What's more, officials did not say how many people have actually purchased coverage under ObamaCare.
"What we do know is that these enrollment numbers are being dramatically outpaced by the millions of Americans who are losing their plans because of the law, despite the President's promise they would not.
"The U.S. House will vote later this week on the 'Keep Your Health Plan Act' that will provide much-needed certainty and relief to Americans who have lost or are about to lose their current health care coverage.
"I encourage President Obama to keep his promise to the American People and join us in support of letting those who like their current health care plans to keep them under ObamaCare."
