Cassidy Criticizes HealthCare.Gov Failures

Statement

Date: Nov. 13, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy M.D. (R-LA) criticized the Obama Administration's announcement that only 106,185 Americans have successfully applied for health insurance through HealthCare.gov and the Obamacare Navigators. He released the following statement:

"In September, the President promised a website "where you can compare and purchase affordable health insurance plans… [the] same way you shop for a TV on Amazon.' That statement is utterly laughable. The failure of HealthCare.gov was a demonstration of what bureaucrat run health care looks like. What we need is not just a revamp of this website, but the repeal and replacement of Obamacare with patient-centered solutions that create affordable health care."
