Today Alaskan Congressman Don Young issued the following statement in response to the Department of Health and Human Services release of Affordable Care Act enrollment numbers.
"After nearly 4 years of planning and preparation for the rollout of this unsound healthcare law, the Administration has failed the American public once again by spending nearly $600 million taxpayer dollars on an unsecured, untested, and unworkable infrastructure to register and sign up for the healthcare exchange. Today's enrollment numbers underscore the failures of this law and are a true reflection of what my colleagues and I have been saying for years; this law is a sinking ship with too many holes to fill."
"As a cosponsor of H.R. 3350, the Keep Your Health Plan Act, I look forward to the House passing legislation this week that gives Americans the right to keep the healthcare plans they like -- one of the many promises the President has failed to keep. I will continue my efforts to relieve the hardship and pain inflicted upon Alaskans by working to delay, repeal and replace this law."
