Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) release the following statement to commemorate Veterans Day:

"This Veterans Day, I hope you will join me in thanking the brave men and women who have put their lives on the line in service to our nation. As the son of a veteran, I understand the continued commitment and conviction our veterans across West Michigan demonstrate to both our communities and our country after they have completed their military service.

"Let's also take a moment today to thank the men and women currently serving in uniform across the globe, show gratitude to the military families who are working to make ends meet while their loved ones are away, and pay tribute to America's fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

"While Veterans Day is listed on the calendar as November 11th, the admiration we show our servicemen and women should last year-round."
