Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin expressed his gratitude to our veterans by writing cards of thanks today. The cards will be delivered to the West Virginia Veterans Home in Barboursville and the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg on Veterans Day along with cards and artwork from students at area schools and daycares as well as employees and visitors at the State Capitol Complex.
"It is important we show our gratitude to the men and women who have put service before self," Gov. Tomblin said. "Joanne and I encourage all West Virginians, this Veterans Day, to say thank you to a veteran in your life. And remember, we can do small things each and every day to let them know how much they mean to us--their service has not gone unnoticed."
