Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today thanked the State Department for providing a French translation for the Diversity Visa Program online instructions, following her letter last week to Secretary of State John Kerry requesting the translation. Norton made the request after learning of the lack of the French translation from a group of French-speaking D.C. residents who immigrated from Africa. The French language translation, which joins translations of 14 other languages, is available online at http://travel.state.gov/pdf/DV_2015_Instructions_French.pdf.
"I appreciate the State Department's quick response to my request to add the French language translation to its Diversity Visa Program instructions," said Norton. "A significant number of my constituents are French-speaking African immigrants, and I particularly thank them for bringing this issue to my attention."
