Location: Little Rock, AR

U.S. Senator Mark Pryor today announced that he will host a Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee roundtable this Friday, November 8th to help connect Arkansas veterans with the resources and programs they need to start and expand a successful small business. Pryor will be joined by Small Business Administration (SBA) Acting Administrator Jeanne Hulit, Arkansas SBA officials, and Arkansas veteran business owners at the event.

"When I'm traveling around our state, I often meet men and women in uniform wanting to make the leap from soldier to business owner. These Arkansans have the training, experience, and skill set needed to run a successful business, but may not have access to the resources and services to help turn their dream of owning a business into a reality," Pryor said. "That's why I'm proud to host this roundtable to better understand how to provide our veterans with the assistance they need to get their business off the ground."

"Military veterans have the 'can-do' attitude necessary to start or grow a business. I look forward to sharing ways the seven Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center offices around the state can assist veterans on their path to business ownership and thank Senator Pryor for the opportunity," said Janet Roderick, state director of the Arkansas SBTDC, a partnership program of the SBA, University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Business, and other institutions of higher education.
