Congressman Holding Votes For House Continuing Resolution

Statement

After House passage of a Continuing Resolution, Congressman George Holding released the following statement:

"Once again, the House of Representatives voted to keep the government open and protect the American public from the harmful -- and largely unknown -- effects of Obamacare.

It is a shame that the Senate Democrats refuse to negotiate, when the House has sent several options over to them. But President Obama and Senate Democrats still refuse to compromise. The President has delayed his healthcare law for employers -- why won't he give the same break to American families? This is about fairness for the American people -- our nation was founded on the principle that there is equal treatment for all under the law. President Obama and congressional Democrats have, time and again, carved out special exemptions for themselves, big businesses, and their political friends. It's time that American families get the same treatment that President Obama and his fellow Democrats have given themselves."
