This morning Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05) spoke on the House floor for the third straight day, again requesting that President Obama obey the "Pay Our Military Act" and return 400,000 furloughed defense workers to their jobs.

Congressman Brooks stated, "Over 60 Congressmen and I are highlighting this issue in hopes of returning 400,000 furloughed defense workers to their jobs. I am pleased to announce that we're making progress."

Congressman Brooks emphasized that yesterday, in response to Congressional efforts, "Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel agreed that "There's no job in our Department of Defense that doesn't support the military.' Hence, the Pay Our Military Act's only furlough-ending requirement has been met."

Congressman Brooks concludes that, "Secretary of Defense Hagel's comment is a major development that paves the way for America's defense workers to return to their jobs."
