Congressman Markwayne Mullin Comments on New Obamacare Delay

Statement

Date: Sept. 26, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Markwayne Mullin made the following statement after the Obama administration announced postponement of the online enrollment for a number of Obamacare's small-business exchanges.

"One minute the President is trying to sell Obamacare, the next minute he is delaying yet another portion of this disaster of a mandate.

"The Obamacare health train is losing one car at a time. With this new delay, yet again affecting small business, it's clear this massive government entitlement program is losing its steam before it starts. The American people have said over and over again they don't trust Obamacare. Whether it's the IRS oversight, the potential loss of their personal physician, or the nearly $1.4 trillion cost, they simply are opposed.

"By refusing to negotiate on things like a debt ceiling increase and a delay of Obamacare, this administration is holding our economy hostage. I remain committed to defunding Obamacare, and at the minimum delaying it. Obamacare is and never will be ready for implementation."
