U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (FL-15) voted in support of H.J. Res. 59, the Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2014. This bill will keep the government funded through December 15, 2013 at current spending levels (the sequester remains in place). It defunds Obamacare and requires the Treasury to adhere to its schedule on public debt payments should America reach its debt ceiling.
"While I don't like doing these stop-gap measures, I am glad that the government will remain funded, our military personnel will continue to receive their paychecks, and that Obamacare will be defunded," said Ross.
Background:
* Government funding is currently set to end Sept. 30, 2013.
