Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement in honor of Constitution Day:

"A remarkable event took place in Philadelphia more than two centuries ago: America became a nation built upon the rule of law, safeguarded with a system of checks and balances designed to promote justice and preserve freedom. Today, we celebrate the Founding Fathers' vision for our country and the privilege of being an American. I carry a copy of the Constitution with me daily, and it is a tangible reminder of my responsibilities as a citizen, soldier and Member of Congress."
