U.S. Congressman Blake Farenthold issued the following statement commemorating the anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks.

"As we remember September 11th 2001, we are reminded that is it the duty of our government to protect Americans in a matter that respects their rights. I take this solemn duty very seriously and a day doesn't pass that it is not on the top of my mind. Let us all take a moment today to remember the innocent victims of the 9/11 attacks, their families, and the brave first responders that risked so much. Please join me in praying for all of them, and for our country."
