Congressman Leonard Lance today issued the following statement following House passage of the H.R. 2009, the "Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013":
"The President's health care law invests enormous powers in the IRS. It is the government agency that will be at the forefront of enforcing ObamaCare's mandates, taxes, penalties, reporting and other requirements that will undoubtedly reduce jobs, stifle economic growth and impede medical innovation in this country. In addition, serious questions have been raised about IRS impartiality in targeting certain non-profit groups.
"That is why I voted today to prohibit the IRS from implementing or enforcing any provision of the health care law. Let's protect our economy by getting the IRS out of ObamaCare."
