Maloney Celebrate Milestone in Construction of Second Avenue Subway

Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) responded to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's report that the first phase of the Second Avenue Subway is more than half completed with the following statement:

"After more than 75 years of false starts, the first phase of the Second Avenue Subway is rapidly approaching completion. All of the contracts for the subway have now been awarded, the tunnels have been dug and most of the blasting is done. My cup is certainly more than half full with the news that the subway is more than half done."
