House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) today released the following statement following House passage of the Farm Bill:
"This is a victory for farmers and conservatives who desired desperately needed reforms to these programs. The work will now continue, and we hope Senate Democrats will not obstruct reform because the status quo isn't working. I regret that House Democrats chose to put politics ahead of farmers in this process, but am grateful our Republican conference forged ahead and kept their focus on the American people. These reforms are not easy, and it took hard work to get here. I commend Chairman Frank Lucas and the Agriculture Committee for their efforts."
