U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (FL-15) voted in support of H.R. 1797, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This legislation will prohibit abortion for unborn children after 20 weeks of gestation, with exceptions for rape, incest, and if the life of the mother is endangered. His statement follows:

"This bill helps ensure that future atrocities like those committed by abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell, never happen again. As a nation, we have a moral obligation to protect the rights of everyone -- men, women, and children. We live in a country with the presumption of innocence before guilt. This same country should choose life before death. When will we be bold enough to enact serious changes? These lives are precious and these crimes must stop."
