On Anniversary Of SCOTUS Decision, Americans Brace For IRS To Implement ObamaCare "Tax"

On the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision that the individual mandate -- the core of ObamaCare -- is a tax, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) expressed his continued concerns surrounding the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) inevitable role implementing the law.

"As we've witnessed with the recent targeting scandal, the last thing Americans need is for the IRS to have more involvement in Americans' lives or greater access to their personal information," said Blunt. "I'll continue fighting to repeal the most onerous parts of ObamaCare and replace this flawed law with common-sense solutions that put patients in charge of their health care -- not Washington bureaucrats at the IRS or elsewhere."

As part of his continued efforts to learn more about the impact of ObamaCare, Blunt continues to meet with local leaders, job creators, and health care providers across Missouri to discuss the law. A recent survey found ObamaCare has led four in 10 small business owners to hold back on hiring. Meanwhile, almost half of Americans surveyed believe the law will make the healthcare situation in the U.S. worse.
