Huizenga Casts Vote To Protect The Sanctity of Life

Statement

Date: June 18, 2013
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Abortion

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement after voting in support of H.R. 1797 -- The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act:

"Tonight, the House took definitive legislative action to protect life and prevent the horrible atrocities that unfolded in Philadelphia from repeating themselves. Extensive medical research has shown that unborn children at 20 weeks are able to feel pain. It is past time we stand up and end the barbaric practice of late-term abortion. I strongly believe in the sanctity of life and that unborn children at any stage of development are granted the right to life. I am proud to have co-sponsored and voted in support of this important piece of legislation."
