Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement on the 50th anniversary of National Small Business Week.

"This week is the 50th anniversary of the National Small Business Week, a time to celebrate the contributions that so many outstanding small business owners, entrepreneurs, and job creators have made in our communities," said Senator Harry Reid. "I'm delighted that the Small Business Administration has honored the following businesses and their respective owners in Nevada: Laura Zander of Jimmy Beans Wool, Promilla Mohan and Kunall Patel of Davidson's Organics, Ty Lee Salazar of Logistical Solutions, Katie Knapp of Bumblebee Blooms, Kennett and Sarah Brown of Critical Tattoo, and finally, Robert Edwards and Joe Manchin of Las Vegas' RO Bus Sales for being honored as Nevada's Small Business of the Year. I wish them all continued success."

"In Nevada, small businesses represent almost 96% of all employers, a testament to how crucial these firms are to our state's economic recovery. Nevada's economy continues to improve, but if we want to put hard working Nevadans back to work, we have to support our small businesses. I remain committed to fostering an economic environment that promotes the entrepreneurial spirit and helps businesses succeed."
