As part of the 50th Annual National Small Business Week, Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) today released the following statement recognizing the critical role that small businesses in the 36th District play in job creation and economic growth:
"As we celebrate the 50th Annual National Small Business Week, we recognize the enormous contributions that the hundreds of small businesses across the 36th District make to our local communities. Small businesses are the drivers of job creation and economic growth and the lifeblood of our economy. They embody the spirit of American entrepreneurship and ingenuity that makes our country the most innovative in the world.
"During this 50th Annual Small Business Week, I call on my colleagues in Congress to renew our commitment to finding common sense, bipartisan solutions that will expand opportunities for small businesses in the 36th District and across America. One thing Congress should do right now to increase investment in our small businesses is pass my SelectUSA Authorization Act as part of the "Make it in America' initiative. I will continue to stand up for small businesses and work to cut bureaucratic red tape, level the playing field, and foster an economic environment that gives our small business owners the tools they need to create new jobs and thrive."
