Congressman Randy Hultgren (IL-14) joined 46 of his colleagues in sending a letter to President Obama for the immediate removal of Attorney General Eric Holder.
"Attorney General Eric Holder has let down Americans and has failed to uphold his duties in numerous instances. It is time for him to be removed from office." Hultgren said. "We must restore Americans' trust in government. Operation Fast and Furious, the seizure of the Associated Press and Fox News reporters' phone records and this week's disturbing FBI probe into citizens' personal records are significant examples where the agency has run amok under his leadership."
Hultgren added, "Americans have lost faith in Holder's abilities and these incidents reveal that he is clearly not up to the task of carrying out the duties of this vital office. There is a clear pattern--how many more breaches of public trust does the President need? Americans deserve better. The President needs to act. "
