Marchant Statement on May Jobs Report

Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) issued the following statement on the May jobs report:

"Today's jobs report is another sad reminder that millions of our fellow Americans are still hurting. The policies of President Obama and Congressional Democrats have exacerbated America's economic challenges. From President Obama's costly and intrusive health care law to their seemingly unquenchable thirst to spend, Democrats in Washington appear unwilling to accept the evidence that their policies are not working for the American people. My House Republican colleagues and I remain committed to pursuing policies that will help Americans get back to work. By pursuing a simpler, flatter tax code, reining in Washington spending, pushing to repeal Obamacare and pushing for energy projects like the Keystone XL pipeline, we can help restore economic growth and opportunity."
