U.S. Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced today that he is joining No Labels Problem Solvers -- a group of more than 70 Democrats, Republicans and Independents who are committed to meeting regularly to build trust and find mutual areas of interest across the aisle.
"I've consistently said I'm willing to work with anyone--Democrat or Republican--who has a good idea, an open mind and a willingness to work together," Schneider said. "In that vein, I'm honored to be a part of No Labels Problem Solvers, and I look forward to working with members to find common ground on issues like strengthening small businesses, protecting our environment and reducing gun violence."
"By joining the Problem Solvers, Rep. Brad Schneider is proving his commitment to working across the aisle to do what's best for the country," No Labels Honorary Co-Chair Governor Jon Huntsman said. "This group is truly patriotic -- its members are putting the country first to solve problems."
"The Problem Solvers group is a big deal," No Labels Honorary Co-Chair Senator Joe Manchin said. "They can help break the bad habits that have developed in Washington, where people have developed this attitude that you're only worth talking to if you're on my team -- the Ds or the Rs. We'll prove that ultimately, we're all on the same team."
For more than 20 years, Schneider had a successful career in business and management consulting, advising companies large and small on how to address the challenges of today's economy and achieve their goals. He is a member of the House Committee on Small Business as well as the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
