Statement of U.S. Congressman William Enyart regarding today's federal court ruling on Patriot Coal:

"I am dismayed at today's federal court ruling against the hard-working employees and retirees of Patriot Coal. Like millions of workers across the U.S., these men and women spent years on the job with firm promises of retirement and health care security. Now, with the stroke of a pen, those benefits have been wiped away. This court ruling should be a wake-up call, not just in the coal industry, but for all workers whose futures can be jeopardized by corporate greed or mismanagement."
