Kermit Gosnell was found guilty on three separate charges of murder in the first degree. He has also been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement regarding the verdicts:
"On Monday, Kermit Gosnell was found guilty of murdering innocent babies. Hopefully, this is one step in righting the barbaric practice of murdering our unborn children. Witness the developing events in Ohio where a man is accused of kidnapping and holding three women, of whom it is said he starved and kicked while they were pregnant to force miscarriage/abortions. He faces the prospect of being charged with murder because of his "murderous attacks.'
The taking of innocent human life should hardly be called "Pro' anything and I dare say that the three kidnapped women in Cleveland, Ohio had no "choice' (pro or otherwise) in the matter and neither did any of the precious children murdered there or in Dr. Gosnell's "killing fields.' The fact that the term "Pro-Choice' has been tied to such a barbaric practice should have all of us, living in a "civilized society', sick to our stomachs. Hopefully, we will come to our senses to see that we really do have a "choice' in the matter and stop the killing."
