WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR) this evening issued the following statement in reaction to President Bush's State of the Union Address.
"It should be no surprise that the President outlined a bold agenda, proposing solutions to some of American's most difficult problems. I am especially pleased at his proposals to help the families of those who have worn our nation's uniform and made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. We all know the toll the war has taken on service members from Oregon. Moreover, I know the President remains committed to solving the problems in the Klamath Basin and working on the energy, forestry, transportation and water issues that are critical to our way of life in the Northwest."
