Issue Position

We recently introduced legislation which will allow undocumented students to qualify for in-state tuition rates at our public institutions of higher education. We also believe immigrated families should be unified. Our office remains a staunch supporter of the DREAM Act and believes a Pathway to citizenship will bring economic benefit to New Jersey through application fees, work permits, and rising enrollment in our institutions of higher education. We also believe it is our collective responsibility to monitor this initiative by way of background checks and public information. It is our belief that immigration reform would not only have a positive impact upon New Jersey's economy but also national security and the flow of public information.
