Stockman Statement on Developments in Boston Bombing Case

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Steve Stockman (R-Texas 36) released the following statement Friday morning:

With news that one of the suspects in the Boston bombing has been killed and another not yet in custody, our primary focus should be on supporting the investigation and praying for those killed and injured in the initial bombing, the shooting on the MIT campus and subsequent firefight with police.

As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee I am confident the Committee will fully investigate the tragedies of this week. Chairman Royce is able, thorough and committed to making sure we understand how these suspects entered the United States through lawful means and what foreign support, if any, they may have received.

I pray for the continued safety of citizens and law enforcement officials, for the recovery of those injured and comfort for the families of those killed by the bombings and the police officer killed by these terrorists.
