Pete Sessions Statement on the Explosion in West, Texas

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, today released the following statement in response to last night's tragic explosion at the West Fertilizer Co. plant in West, Texas:

"I join my fellow Texans in offering my deepest condolences to our neighbors in West who were devastated by the explosion last night. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones, and I wish a prompt recovery to all who were injured. During tragic times of grief and destruction, the people of Texas have always come together to help our neighbors. I offer my support to the people of West and am extremely grateful for all of the first responders and volunteers who have risked their lives to keep others safe."
