U.S. Representative Colleen Hanabusa today released the following statement on the capture of a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing tonight in Watertown, Massachusetts:
"I share our nation's relief that the second suspect in the Boston marathon bombing has been taken into custody alive. I hope that we will get more clarity in the days and weeks to come as law enforcement officials have a chance to question him.
"I commend all of the law enforcement agencies who coordinated their efforts and brought this episode to its final, successful conclusion. Throughout the series of shocking events since Monday, our faith in law enforcement was well-placed and kept us strong. You stand as a symbol of our nation's tenacity and excellence. Our pride and gratitude are beyond expression.
"To the people of Boston, Watertown, and the surrounding areas, you continue to embody American strength and resolve. We were proud to stand with you and keep you in our thoughts. Today we share your relief and celebrate your strength."
