Price Applauds Passage of Plan to Restore Order to NLRB

Statement

Date: April 12, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Tom Price, M.D (R-GA) responded to the passage of H.R. 1120, the Preventing Greater Uncertainty in Labor-Management Relations Act, saying:

"President Obama showed complete disdain for the rule of law when he made three recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board while the Senate was not in recess. He has no authority to do this. In response, the courts have ruled that President Obama's appointments were unconstitutional. His actions have created an extraordinary amount of uncertainty for businesses large and small alike and for their employees.

"The Preventing Greater Uncertainty in Labor-Management Relations Act is a commonsense step toward empowering America's workers and job creators with greater legal clarity. It is imperative that we act to restore order and accountability at the NLRB so that it does not further impede economic growth and job creation."

Congressman Tom Price, M.D., a member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, was a co-sponsor of H.R. 1120. He serves as vice chairman of the House Committee on the Budget and is also a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means.
