Today, Congresswoman Janice Hahn (CA-44) voted against HR 1120, the Preventing Greater Uncertainty in Labor-Management Relations Act. She released the following statement regarding her vote:

"Today, I proudly voted "no' on HR 1120. Unlike the name implies, the bill does nothing to prevent uncertainty and instead adds a great deal of confusion and vulnerability to labor-management interactions. The National Labor Relations Board is essential to protecting working Americans' economic security and ensuring that the workplace remains productive, fair and safe. This legislation would cripple the Board's ability to do its job, stop union elections, halt labor law enforcement and make strikes incredibly more likely. This blatant attack on hardworking men and women's right to organize, while serving special interests, would hurt middle class families and undermine American economic competitiveness. I am disappointed with today's vote. It is a step backward and a threat to the progress that labor has made in this country."
