On "Equal Pay Day' Obama Celebrates Hypocrisy

Congressman Steve Stockman Tuesday (R-Texas 36) questioned why Barack Obama would declare it "National Equal Pay Day" when his own White House pays male staffers more than female staffers.

"If Obama is going to declare National Equal Pay Day he should start with himself," said Stockman. "This is yet more proof liberalism is about imposing on others beliefs they won't practice themselves."

"If it weren't for double standards Obama wouldn't have any. If it weren't for hypocrisy and failure he'd have nothing to celebrate," said Stockman. "He preaches gun control while trafficking weapons to Mexican drug lords. He claims the private sector pay women less than men when that's been his policy for four years."

A Daily Caller analysis of the administration's "2012 Annual Report to Congress on White House Staff" published shows "while women comprised about half of the 468 staffers -- as the president touted during his press conference Monday -- they also earned about 13 percent less, on average, than their male counterparts."

"The median 2012 salary for female employees of the White House was $62,000; for men that number was $71,000," The Daily Caller reports.

Obama's women problems go beyond his policy of not paying them the same as men. Obama was heavily criticized last week for describing California's female state Attorney General for simply being physically attractive. At a 2008 campaign event in Michigan he belittled a female reporter by calling her "sweetie" before ignoring her question.
