Congressman Kinzinger Statement on President Obama's Budget

Statement

Date: April 10, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Adam Kinzinger today released the following statement regarding President Obama's proposed budget:

"House Republicans passed a responsible budget that fosters job creation and grows opportunity for all Americans while balancing in ten years. 65 days late, the President's budget never balances and is riddled with gimmicks and tax increases that do little to put Americans back to work. However, I am encouraged to see the President take a positive step by addressing the need for entitlement reform so that these vital programs are preserved for younger generations. I invite President Obama to have a frank discussion with Congress to find common ground on ways we can create jobs and reduce our debt."
