Today, Congressman Bill Foster joined House Democrats to unveil new Make It In America priorities for the 113 th Congress. Make It In America is a comprehensive jobs plan announced three years ago, aimed at revitalizing our manufacturing sector and helping to create high-skill, high-wage jobs that won't be outsourced. Included in the plan is the National Fab Lab Network Act of 2013, introduced by Foster to promote advanced manufacturing in the U.S. and invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.

"I was proud to join my colleagues today in presenting a strong legislative agenda to promote American manufacturing," said Foster. "As a manufacturer, businessman and a scientist I believe it's critical that we provide the next generation with the skills to succeed in engineering and manufacturing and build the next generation of products, businesses and industries. The legislation outlined today, including the Fab Lab Network Act of 2013, will help us grow and maintain our great tradition of innovation and manufacturing in America."

Foster joined House Democrats at a press conference today to announce new Make It In America legislation that is focused on making progress in four key areas: developing a national manufacturing strategy, increasing manufacturing exports, encouraging businesses to bring innovation and jobs back home, and investing in training and securing the skilled workforce needed to support manufacturing in the twenty-first century.

Over the coming weeks, House Democrats will be introducing additional Make It In America bills in these four areas and are calling on Republicans to work together to pass them swiftly into law.
