Fitzpatrick Disappointed with March Jobs Numbers

Statement

Date: April 5, 2013
Location: Langhorne, PA

Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8) issued the following statement regarding the March 2013 jobs report:

"Today's weak jobs report underscores the need for officials in Washington to work together to get things done.

After the Senate passed a budget for the first time in four years, it is time for both the House and Senate to negotiate and get a real budget done.

The lack of a budget has been holding back American growth. Furthermore, the uncertainty surrounding the implementation of the Affordable Care Act is causing employers to hold off on hiring while creating a feeling of uneasiness for families uncertain as to what their healthcare coverage may look like in the very near future.

I am still optimistic about our future as we are on the verge of an energy revolution for America which can fundamentally change the economic formula for progress. And our best asset, the American worker, is ready, willing and able to get it done."
