Today, Representative Steven Horsford (NV-4) expressed disappointment that the Senate-passed Continuing Resolution (CR) fails to prevent mindless sequester cuts and neglects fully funding programs critical for Nevada families. However, the CR would prevent a government shutdown on March 27th that would have disastrous consequences for the economy.
"Like any compromise, this measure is far from perfect," said Horsford. "It fails to prevent reckless across-the-board cuts from sequestration and shortchanges investments on which American families rely. Nevertheless, a government shutdown could harm our already fragile economic recovery and must be prevented."
