Today, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter announced the opening of her newest congressional office in Rochester.
"I hope residents across eastern New Hampshire will use this office as a resource," Shea-Porter said.
At an open-house event this morning, Congresswoman Shea-Porter listened as local residents, elected officials and business leaders spoke about local issues impacting New Hampshire residents.
"Whether you need help applying for a passport or grant, resolving an issue with the Internal Revenue Service, or receiving your veterans' or Social Security benefits, my office can assist you in dealing with the federal government," Shea-Porter said. "Sometimes, this can be as simple as helping you get in touch with the right person. In other cases, the staff in my district offices will step in and work with you to resolve the issue. We work hard to cut through red tape and ensure that New Hampshire's First Congressional District's constituents receive fair treatment."
In the coming weeks, Shea-Porter's office will hold open houses for a number of constituent groups, including seniors, veterans, and small businesses.
Located on North Main Street in Rochester, this is Congresswoman Shea-Porter's second office in New Hampshire.
